Das von uns verräucherte Opoponax (aus griechisch: opós=Pflanzenmilch und panax=Heilmittel) wird aus der Pflanze Commiphora Erythraea gewonnen. Es handelt sich um eine Strauch- bzw. Baumart aus der Gattung Burseracea, die in Somalia, Äthiopien und im südlichen Arabien heimisch ist und auch als "süße Myrrhe" bezeichnet wird.
Petitgrain
Petitgrain is an essential oil that is extracted from the leaves and green twigs of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium ssp. amara) via steam distillation. It is also known as petitgrain bigarade. Its main regions of production are Paraguay and France, with the former’s product being of higher odour tenacity. Read more
Peumus boldus
Peumus boldus, the only species in the genus Peumus, is commonly known as boldo (from the Mapudungun name foḻo). This tree of the family Monimiaceae is natively endemic to the central region of Chile, occurring from 33° to 40° southern latitude. Boldo has also been introduced to Europe and North Africa, though it is not often seen outside botanical gardens. Read more
Picea (Fichte)
Die Fichten (Picea) sind eine Pflanzengattung in der Familie der Kieferngewächse (Pinaceae). Die einzige in Mitteleuropa heimische Art ist die Gemeine Fichte (Picea abies), die wegen ihrer schuppigen, rotbraunen Rinde fälschlich auch als „Rottanne“ bezeichnet wird. Rosmarin
Der Rosmarin (Rosmarinus officinalis) ist eine von zwei Arten der Gattung Rosmarinus und ein immergrüner Halbstrauch aus der Familie der Lippenblütler (Lamiaceae). Der Name Rosmarin kommt vom lateinischen ros marinus und bedeutet „Tau (ros) des Meeres (marinus)“, also „Meertau“. Als Begründung wird dazu oft angeführt, dass Rosmarinsträucher an den Küsten des Mittelmeeres wachsen und nachts sich der Tau in ihren Blüten sammle. Read more

Süßgras (Mariengras)
Das Duftende Mariengras (Hierochloe odorata), auch als Duft-Mariengras, Vanillegras, Süßgras oder als Bisongras bezeichnet, ist ein kumarinhaltiges Gras innerhalb der Familie der Süßgräser (Poaceae). Es duftet aromatisch nach Waldmeister und wurde bei der Verehrung der Jungfrau Maria verwendet, worauf der deutsche Name Bezug nimmt.Read more
