DeutschKit Downes, a BBC Jazz Award winner and Mercury Music Award nominee, is a solo artist with ECM Records. He performs worldwide on piano, organ, and harmonium, both solo and with bands like ENEMY, Troyka, and Elt. He has collaborated with artists such as Squarepusher and Bill Frisell and regularly gives solo organ and piano concerts at prestigious venues like the Elbphilharmonie and Royal Albert Hall. A Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music, he also composes for festivals and ensembles. His ECM albums Obsidian, Dreamlife of Debris, and Vermillion have received critical acclaim.
